5 Holiday Products from Trader Joe’s to Buy Before They Disappear
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Trader Joe’s. When the holidays arrive, this love begins to border on obsession. On my last visit, I found so many amazing holiday products that I had to share before they rotate out for the next season. If you are anything like me, you’ll want to stock up! (They didn’t ask me to write this, I just think these are great products.)
1. Cinnamon Roll Wreath
This is the perfect breakfast for a busy morning of opening presents, when you have guests or just something special. You pull it out from the freezer the night before, let it rise overnight and bake for about 15 minutes. Voila! Breakfast is served and it looks like you were up all night baking.
2. Sipping Chocolate
There is nothing like a mug of hot chocolate on a cold winters’ night and this one is my favorite. It reminds me of my time in Spain where the hot chocolate served with churros is so thick and rich, you can stand a spoon up in it. This chocolate is not quite as thick but the flavor is! I make mine with whole milk but I’ve also made it with almond milk, both are delicious. It also complements any extras you might want to add — peppermint stick, whiskey, marshmallows, etc.
3. Black Truffle Salt and Black Truffle Butter
Black truffles… What more can I say… These will bring an added sophistication to your holiday dishes by simply adding them in at the end of cooking. I’m also going to try mine on popcorn. You can get these items at specialty stores but not for Trader Joe’s prices.
4. Honey with Nuts and Fruits
Honestly, I’m not sure if I want to eat this. It’s too beautiful. If forced to, I would spoon this over ricotta, ice cream or even yogurt. It makes my mouth water just looking at it.
5. Organic Peeled and Cooked Chestnuts
I love chestnuts. They are like dessert to me and I often treat them like that. The only problem is that no one else in my family appreciates them, so I end up being the lone chestnut consumer in our house. I love roasting them on an open fire, but that’s too much work for just one person. Now I don’t have to. So easy.
In addition, to these items, I also found Cedar Grilling Wraps, Chocolate Gold Coins, Honey Sampler, and Glazed Walnuts with Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup. The glazed walnuts did not last long enough to get into a picture…
